Health and Safety of our Children?

Our centre has a secure entrance and drop-off/pick up procedure. Only authorized adults (nominated by the parents) may pick up children.

We have an open door policy, parents can call or visit any time they want.

All teachers have CPR and First Aid training.

Teacher to Child Ration exceeds the government requirements.

We are a Nut Free Zone.

We have a strict illness policy.

Surfaces are disinfected throughout the day and at closing of the day.

We provide appels as an afternoon snack.

What Curriculum do we make use of?

NELDS and CAPS Curriculum as per the Government.

Children are happily and busily engaged in interesting and diverse activities and projects.

Art work will go home weekly.

Art work will be displayed in the classroom during the week.

Teacher Parent meetings every term to discuss your child’s progress.

Children are encouraged to explore the environment.

Individual and small group activities inside the classroom as well as outdoors.

How do we care for babies?

Breast Milk is encouraged fresh or frozen. All babies have their own pigeon hole for formula and bottles and will be labelled in the refrigerator.

Each baby will have their own crib.

Tummy time will be given every day.

Soft carpet and pillows for safe way to move and explore.

Adjustable schedule for individual baby’s needs.

Your Toddlers Needs?

We encourage children’s self-help skills as far as we can.

We do potty training at school.

Teachers adapt to individual differences in children’s eating and sleeping routine, they do get into a routine at school very quickly.

Loving and Professional Staff?

Our teachers interact with children in caring, respectful and positive way.

Our teachers go on refresher courses each year in early childhood development and CPR training.

How do we communicate with our families?

We will be sending out information to all parents on what to expect on your child’s first day at school and what to pack.

There is daily communication about your child’s day.

We have a monthly newsletter that is going out.

We have opportunities during the year for parents to get together and be social, and be involved in the school.
